INSPIRED BY THE FAMOUS TARTE TROPÉZIENNE
South of France. Back in 1955, the young baker Alexandre Micka was selling his delicious brioche cake filled with a wonderfully light vanilla cream in the tiny patisserie on the Place des Lices in St. Tropez. Brigitte Bardot, of all people, discovered her passion for this elegant little tarte while filming in St. Tropez, and gave it the name by which it is now known all over the world – Tarte Tropézienne. The film was a success, which put St. Tropez in the limelight and made Tarte Tropézienne famous. Since then, Tarte Tropezienne has symbolised the carefree lifestyle of St. Tropez, and is indispensable to everyone who loves this picturesque coastal town.
